MNGR is a rescue
group. Our primary mission is to end greyhound racing, thereby ending
massive overbreeding, exploitation and destruction.
We do not work with any one
trainer or breeder who will provide us with their top dogs. We instead
rescue greyhounds from any of over 2500 greyhound farms around the
country who are on death row and at times, in poor health.
Because we are a rescue organization,
we can't, nor do we want to, choose the color, ages and sexes of greyhounds
we save. We take whatever dogs need our help.
______
The
simplest thing you can do to help the plight of racing greyhounds
is to avoid attending dog tracks and participating in off-track betting
on dog races and to convince friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues
to do the same. Every dollar spent at a dog track feeds the system
and keeps the cruel business of dog racing alive.
Educate
yourself, and others! A great place to start is with the websites
on our Greyhound Rescue
and Welfare Links page and the articles on our Greyhound
Welfare page. Learn about the number of tracks, where they are
located, and why the complex economics of dog racing make impossible
to ever regulate dog racing to make it humane. We encourage you and
others to read the information, analyze it, and make your own decisions.

man will not himself find peace..." Albert Schweitzer
